ASSOCIATE FAMILIES

Associate Families in Brantford/Brant County share their homes and provide support and encouragement to adults with a developmental disability.

With the support of qualified staff, Associate Families provide all the benefits of living with a family. Families have indicated that being an Associate Family has proven to be a rewarding experience.

  • Interested families/individuals are supported through a screening and matching process. Families/individuals are matched with people based on preferences, shared interests and compatibility.
  • Approved Associate Families receive a per diem remuneration. There are opportunities for both people to become full-time Associate Families or part-time Respite Families.
  • Once an Associate Family has been approved and a match has been made a mutually agreeable transition plan will be developed.
