Community

Brantwood Residential Development Centre (or, as it is more commonly known, Brantwood Centre) is a charitable non-profit organization which provides residences and support services in a range of settings in Brant County, to individuals who are developmentally and physically challenged.

The Brant County Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association is a non-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. CMHA contributes to the mental well-being of the community through support services for persons with a serious mental illness and educational initiatives for the general public.

Contact Brant is a one door - one guide to accessing children's services and developmental services from local agencies in Brant County.

Lansdowne Children's Centre is a non-profit social service organization funded by the Ministry of Community and Social Services and the Ministry of Health. They are a family-centred service, built on partnerships between families and professionals.

Operation Lift provides a pre-booked door to door transportation service for physically challenged and frail elderly residents, allowing them a vital and affordable link to this community. They are a non-profit organization, with a voluntary Board of Directors. Anyone who is unable to use regular public transportation is eligible to become a registered client of OPERATION LIFT.

NACL is the Norfolk Association for Community Living. NACL promotes and supports the inclusion of people with disabilities in all aspects of community life throughout Norfolk county.

Participation House Brantford is a not-for-profit organization serving the needs of adults with physical dissAbilities who reside in Brant County, Ontario, Canada.

Provincial

Community Living Ontario's goal is that all persons live in a state of dignity, share in all elements of living in the community, and have the opportunity to participate effectively. This site also contains direct links and info on existing Community Living Agencies throughout Ontario.

OASIS is Ontario Agencies Supporting Individuals with Special Needs.  Their mission is to facilitate the sharing of ideas, resources, systems and information. OASIS will liaise with Government on behalf of member organizations with the goal of improving the development of cost-effective quality supports for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Ontario Special Olympics is a community-based program. Its primary instrument of program delivery is the local sport clubs, which gives athletes the opportunity to train twelve months of the year. Invitational and Regional meets occur frequently, and athletes advance through a regular cycle of Provincial Games to compete in both National and World Games and Championships.

National

CACL is the Canadian Association for Community Living. Their mission is to confirm human rights for people with intellectual disabilities.

CDSS is the Canadian Down Syndrome Society. They are a national, non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance the quality of life for all individuals who have Down syndrome.
