ACCOMODATION OPTIONS

Residential Services:

The Association provides a number of out-of-home living options. Sharing a house with three or four others, with staff support (up to 24 hours) is one option. The Association owns or rents 12 homes and supports more than 50 individuals within this model.
Residential homes are scattered throughout the City of Brantford and Brant County. Two homes are located in the town of Paris, while two others are located in rural settings--one on a 50 acre farm near Burford and the other on Harley Road.

Each home is designed to meet the specific needs of the people residing there. Some of the residential homes have been designed to accommodate individuals who use wheelchairs.

Group Living:

  • The Agency owns or rents 15 homes and supports more than 50 individuals with this model.
  • Group homes are located both within Brant and Brant County.
  • Each home is designed to meet the needs of the individuals.

Associate Family:

  • This option involves a person or family sharing their home with a person with a developmental disability.
  • Person or family is appropriately screened, their home reviewed, and they must be approved by Agency staff.
  • Creates a rewarding experience for Associate Families and provides a home-like environment for those individuals seeking this type of support.
